Here’s a most versatile sartorial option: the two way top coat. It is a water repellent traditional cotton raincoat on one side, and a handsome brown Irish herringbone tweed on the other. Lightweight, it folds up easily for travel, and is not burdensome to wear on a mild rainy day in cool weather. It is well made, exclusively for us by Henry White in Dublin (where they know a thing or two about rainwear!) and it is well tailored with a dolman sleeve, slant pockets, quarter inch stitching, a nicely seamed fly front, and a stitched bottom.
