Woven by Solbiati of Italy, this is the real McCoy— authentic seersucker, puckered and perfect—is distinctively different from its cheap imitators. Ever since the original cotton fabric found its name in English from the Hindustani, which in turn was a derivation of the Persian words “shir o shekar”, translated as “milk and sugar” (probably from its resemblance to the smooth texture of milk and bumpy texture of sugar), true seersucker has been distinguished by its wrinkled appearance, caused by a weave that bunches threads together. This weave results in the fabric sitting away from the body, allowing for better air circulation, and dissipation of heat, and the lack of necessity to press the fabric, regardless of humidity. Seersucker has always been a mainstay of southern gentlemen, in a muted powder blue and cream stripe, which speaks of summer comfort and style. As with all of our trousers, cut in our own old world shop, with every detail the same on each pair of elegantly draping pants, in even sizes 32–44 and odd sizes 33–39.
About Our Trousers

Our trousers are cut from the finest British, Irish and Italian classic fabrics with high thread counts. All our trousers, dress and casual, are made in artisan old world shops in America or Italy. All are impeccably cut and sewn to the very highest standards, including a split waist-band for extra comfort and easy alteration, and piped fly seams and crotch lining. Some dress pants include a change pocket inside the right front on seam pocket as well. Available in either forward pleat or plain front, in sizes 32-39 even and odd sizes, and in sizes 40-44 even only. As with all fine trousers, these are unfinished.
