Red Madras Button Down Shirt

Bob loved wearing our authentic Indian Madras shirt in navy, claret, gold and green. Madras is a lightweight cotton fabric, completely handwoven, using yarns dyed with vegetable colorings. The fabric takes its name from the former name of the city of Chennai in south India. Authentic Madras still comes from Chennai (Madras) where we had this woven for us. You may remember this from your college days, but it is just as enjoyable and comfortable today as it was then. We have constructed these shirts in our classic signature collar button down shirt, with all the bells and whistles of our dress shirts, and a long sleeve, easy to roll up at leisure. Because authentic madras may “bleed” on first washing, though it will not fade, we recommend you wash it separately first. The color will remain fast after the first washing. Sizes S–XXL.
