Since it was founded in 1938 in Belgium, Scabal has earned its reputation as one of the finest suppliers of luxury fabrics in the world. Scabal is an acronym for Société Commerciale Anglo Belgo Allemande Luxembourgeoise, but the English tradition of worsted fabrications is reflected in the fabrics woven in Huddersfield, England. We have chosen a superb example of their heritage fabrics for this jacket, which is a 92% wool, 8% cashmere weave in a cream ground glen plaid with subtle sepia and slate horizontal and vertical accents. We show it with a white on blue Bengal stripe cutaway shirt, and a classic striped necktie with a vibrant copper ground and sky blue stripes bordered in navy. Our mid-grey flannel trousers, cut from Italian woven Super 120s wool, in our Italian workroom, bring out the slate grey accent in the jacket. Our Savile monk shoe is paired with a brown feathered edge leather belt with a brass buckle. Eyewear is from Lafont in a nearly round multi-color stone tortoise.
About Our Tailored Jackets and Suits

Our tailored jackets and suits are cut from English, Scottish, Irish and Italian fabrics, and made in America and Canada; we produce 40-42S even sizes, 38-50R even sizes, 39-45R odd sizes, and 40-50L even sizes. Tailored in a trim silhouette that speaks of Authentic American Style, with a canvassed two-button front with hand felled natural shoulder and armholes, upper welt pocket, classic point to point at the shoulder, and trim high notched 3" lapel, with either side vents or center vent, as noted. Lower patch and flap pockets replace inset lower flap pockets on our classic American blazer, which we also finish with lap seams, ¼" stitching at the lapels, and a hooked center vent. Constructed with the highest quality Bemberg lining, and deep functional interior pockets for business cards, loose change, eyeglasses, wallet or passport.
