Processing Time
We process orders daily and ship in-stock orders within 2 working days of their receipt. Our sales staff is able to provide you with estimated delivery times when there is a wait for especially popular items. However, when delivery is delayed, or partial shipment is made, you will receive a confirmation of your order in writing. Allow 8-12 weeks for special orders such as Ben Silver custom jewelry, and slightly longer if special order merchandise is coming from Europe.
Product Availability
We try to anticipate demand at the beginning of each season, but with such a wide variety of catalog merchandise, we are occasionally surprised by the response to a particular item. Due to exceptional demand, we may need to replenish merchandise of our own make, or special order merchandise made exclusively for us. Seasonal items sometimes cannot be replenished after the initial supply has been sold. This is because the fabrics used to manufacture those items cannot be woven or printed again. We urge you to order early to be sure of availability of seasonal items made exclusively for Ben Silver.
Blazer buttons, authentic regimental striped and crested neckwear, most woven neckties, and many of the shirts we sell, remain part of our continuing collection. When these are temporarily out of stock, we always replenish them, so delays on such items are relatively short. If there is a delay, we will notify you by mail. Of course, we will only charge your credit card for any merchandise that has been shipped. We do not hold your order until all of it is available, and instead we will ship as items become available. However, we will only charge once for shipping.
However, sometimes delays may be longer. Some of the designs shown are more readily available at certain times of the year. For example, white warp silk is only woven in summer months, and some of the white warp ties shown in this catalog, once the current stock is depleted, will only be made available again in late spring. In addition, bow ties and long ties will not be available with the same frequency as four-in-hands. We cut bow ties and longs only when we weave silk for regular four-in-hands. If bows or longs in a particular design have been sold out, we will wait to cut more of them until we are able to weave the same design again.
All Ben Silver merchandise is well crafted of the finest fabrics, with a selection not found elsewhere; when items are temporarily unavailable, they are well worth the wait.
Methods of Payment
The following credit cards are accepted from all U.S. and Canadian customers: American Express, Discover, Visa, Mastercard. We can only accept American Express card orders from customers outside of the U.S. and Canada. Money orders and checks are accepted from all customers, but may require holding the order while the payment clears. If you are a new customer paying by check, please be aware your order will be held for 10 banking days to allow for your check to clear.
Packaging & Gift Boxes
All neckties and shirts can be handsomely packaged in boxes suitable for gift presentation at no extra charge. Please advise upon ordering whether you require individual gift boxes for each tie. If yours is not a gift, we will box all ties in a single package, to help save the environment. If you check “gift” on the order form, we will enclose a gift card with your purchase.
Shipping Methods and Rates
Orders will be shipped by FedEx unless instructed otherwise. Our shipping fee allows us to deliver all in-stock orders within 2-3 business days of shipment. Our only delivery fee will appear on the first shipment of the order. Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico will be shipped FedEx 2 day air for an additional charge of $15. Overnight delivery is also available anywhere in the continental United States, for an additional charge of $32; or to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico for $37. For overnight delivery, order by 2 PM EST to receive delivery the next business day. (For Saturday delivery add $35 to the charge shown.) PO Boxes and some rural areas are served only by the United States Postal Service for $15. Delivery to APO/FPO addresses is by insured USPS for $21.

Our international shipping base rates are $30 for FedEx International Economy delivery to Canada and $45 to all other countries. At our discretion, we may increase the shipping charge with our actual FedEx costs based on specific location and package size. Recipient is responsible for any customs duties.
Mailing List Services
If you are receiving duplicate copies of the same catalog, please send us the mailing labels indicating which one is correct. We Respect Your Privacy - We occasionally make our mailing list available to carefully screened companies whose products and services might interest you. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, send us a note with your name and address as it appears on the mailing label, or when placing an order, please tell our staff that you do not wish to have your name exchanged.
Return Policy
We pride ourselves in giving service and satisfaction to our customers. Therefore, we guarantee the quality of all merchandise ordered from this catalog. Except for custom orders and Warehouse Sale orders, you may return your purchase for exchange or refund within 30 days of receipt, as long as it is in saleable condition. (If possible, please use our packaging to return items and repack as they come to you to insure saleability. Neckwear should be returned in its cellophane sleeve, and in its original outer packaging, to insure safe transit.) Returns on Warehouse Sale department merchandise are allowed within 10 days of receipt, in saleable condition.
NEW: At our sole discretion, we may elect to accept for return an item(s) that was purchased more than 30 days ago subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- Gift recipients will receive a non-refundable merchandise credit. If an item arrives to you damaged, or if an error was made in processing your order, we will credit your original method of payment, including delivery charges.
- If you are returning your purchase for any other reason, we will credit your original method of payment, excluding delivery charges.
- Enclose the original packing slip or sales receipt with the merchandise.
